Dr. Sambunaris is a Veteran, his military service includes time in the US Army as a combat medic and later as an officer completing his military service as a Major in the Medical Corps.  He also served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service while performing his fellowship at the NIMH.  He is a recipient of several military awards, including the National Defense Service Medal. All visits with us are private and confidential.

Angelo Sambunaris, M.D.

Dr. Sambunaris is Founder and Medical Director of the Institute for Advanced Medical Research (formerly the Atlanta Institute of Medicine & Research) and the Institute for Veterans Health. He also serves as a clinical faculty member at Mercer University’s School of Pharmacy.
